Must Try Foods | Boysenberry Festival | Knott's Berry Farm
The boy’s taste buds are finally catching up to their wonderful sense of adventure and they are becoming tiny foodies! So, for the second year in a row, we enjoyed the Boysenberry Festival and I was simply overjoyed to watch our little ones try so many new foods.
While we loved the festival last year, one major difference is that this year, all of the rides and attractions are open. No thanks to Covid, last year, the rides and attractions were still shut down. But this year, we had an amazing time riding rides and watching shows between all of our delicious meals.
Food wise, a big difference we noticed from last year to this, is that the food selection was less saturated in Boysenberry sauces. A welcome change.
A few meals we all enjoyed:
The Boysenberry Chili Frito Mac & Cheese is to die for. I never thought I would enjoy this so much, but with all of the savory/sweet flavors going on, and that texture mix… omg it’s good!
* Tip for pickier eaters, you can order it plain, or chose the topping you prefer.
We loved the Boysenberry BBQ Meatballs over Mashed Potatoes and devoured them before we could even find a seat. Let’s just say, seconds were necessary. We truly enjoyed this savory treat.
Ok so the Boysenberry Doughnut, it comes with a fried chicken steak on top, so don’t be surprised. We heard a few confused people around the park. This is really a meal of its own. Dinner and dessert. Both were a hit.
If you are ordering the Fried Chicken Steak and Boysenberry Doughnut, do yourself a huge favor and order the lemonade. It is the most refreshing thing you'll have all day.
