That's From Disneyland

The other day, while playing around on Instagram, I randomly came across the That's From Disneyland account. Upon further investigation, I learned that this was a free, interactive pop-up museum and auction held only minutes from my house.

The entire collection belongs to Richard Kraft, who after two decades of collecting, has decided that it was time to "let go".

I checked out the dates and planned a trip to That's From Disneyland the very next day, as the last day to see the collection is this Friday, August 24th, 2018. The auction will take place this weekend.

One might say that I underestimated the popularity of this exhibit. While there was more than enough parking, the line to get into this pop-up museum, went half way around the building and lasted about 45 minutes.

Because I had my boys, I almost turned back when I saw the line. But, I figured, lines at Disneyland are just as long. So, we waited.

While we waited, I got lots of kisses and cuddles from the boys, as well as some really good conversation. We actually had a great time in line. Go figure!

As we walked in, I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of people in the large space that used to be an old Sports Authority store. I wondered again, whether we should turn back, but by that time, the boys had already set their sites on rows and rows of old cartoon renderings.

We liked looking at all of the art, but went through it fairly quick. There were much bigger things waiting for the boys to see and experience.

Princeton has been curious about The Haunted Mansion ride for so long, but knows that he would be spooked if he actually rode it. He has even announced that he thinks he may be ready to ride The Haunted Mansion when he is six or sever years old, giving himself two to three years to mentally prepare.

So, seeing parts of the ride, was very special for him. We were stopped here for a solid ten minutes before he was ready to move on to the next attraction.

I would have loved to take a picture of the boys on the tombstone that you see in the background. But the line to do so was so long, and I could not bare to make the little ones wait yet again.

There were so many parts of classic rides. It was nostalgic for me, and just a blast for the boys.

We had a great time, and the boys didn't want to leave. An afternoon well spent!
