Princeton and Skyler have been Hot Wheels babies since the day they respectively learned to point. Every time we visit our local market, the boys each pick out a new car for themselves. So naturally, when Osmo released Mind Racers, I knew that we had to have it.
Now, here's the thing about Osmo Hot Wheels MindRacers, the concept simply blows my mind. You start with real Hot Wheels cars, and end on a virtual racetrack! A virtual racetrack!!
This is the type of thing we saw in futuristic SciFi movies, as kids, right? Wow! Welcome to the future!
So here's how it works: the box comes with six different Hot Wheels cars, each of which have unique attributes and racing powers, a launch pad for your cars, and a base for your iPad. All you need to do is download the app, and voila! you have yourself eight new worlds and racetracks to race your cars. Parents, eight new tracks that do not take up eight tracks worth of space in your home!
Every Christmas, hubby and I clear out and donate the previous year's toys to make room for the toys the kids are going to receive for the current holiday. This covert mission has to be done at odd hours of the night, as we smuggle their old toys out without the threat of them seeing their "babies" being taken away. I am so excited for this space saver! We are basically giving our kids eight new race tracks without having to take any of their toys to make space!
Ok, ok, enough about the space. Just an overly excited parent here, happy to still have our living room somewhat resemble an adult space.
Back to the Osmo Hot Wheels MindRacers. My favorite thing about this game is that it allows the player or players to race against each other, work together to win, or play alone against the built-in competition.
We have had so much fun playing MindRacers as a family, but another win for busy parents is, the kids can play it all by themselves, so you can make dinner, get some work done, or even just relax and get a little break.
